Staying up late

Annoying Birds

During the summer time I usually like to keep myself awake past midnight to specifically around 3:00am to surf the Internet, play video games and occasionally watch pointless advertisements on the T.V. This of course leads to horrible sleep habits and sleeping in for almost the entire afternoon, but ANNOYING birds always seem to wake me from my beautiful slumber. Birds have a mission to chirp at exactly 7:00 in the morning as if no one is asleep! It’s worse than a rooster trying to wake a farmer up. They’re extremely loud and have some sort of rhythm or pattern one chirps loud, then quietly, regular AND then another loud chirp. I have a dilemma because I can’t close the window or else I’ll burn in my room (I don’t have air-conditioning) and if I decide to leave the window open all I can hear is those insane birds chirping I can’t win! The worst part is I tried closing the window but they can be heard past the closed window it’s horrible, but I thought I could cover my ears with a pillow and still I could hear them.

Going out on the weekend is a usual occurrence for me during the summer and I regularly stay out late as well, usually when the bar closes is when my friends and I call it a night and go home. Amazing memories are made during these nights, but we all just want to sleep at the end so most nights I would sleepover at my friends place after a night out. And yeah you guessed it the birds also chirp over at my friends place! I can never get myself some peace and quiet; it’s quite a tragedy... What I find even more annoying is that when school starts I return back to my normal routine, birds disappear and winter arrives. This annoys me because why couldn’t they just disappear during the summer, I have a regular sleep pattern during school days so I wouldn’t mind if they made an appearance now. What use do they have anyways? All they do is chirp and make peoples lives miserable.

So what I would like is for birds to not come out during the summer and let everyone have the sleep we all deserve, but maybe the problem isn’t the birds and it’s just me. I could sleep at normal times like everyone else and the problem could be resolved, but hey who am I kidding I enjoy staying awake late during the summer its like a yearly routine so birds can just disappear!

During last summer, I fell in love with EDM music and wanted to go to all the events and concerts that where coming down to town. I thought that everyone went there to have fun and socialize with others, maybe have a few drinks occasionally (alcoholic) and get turned up by some pretty sick beats! I went to a total of three concerts this summer and all three I learned and experienced something different. The first time I had gone with friends and we had a blast, I wish I could relive the moments. Basically we went out and got extremely intoxicated and just danced for a good 8+ hours to music it was like we had a infinite amount of energy! The second time I went with my cousins and I was a designated driver so I couldn't drink and let me tell you does it make a difference. When you aren't intoxicated you witness so many horrible things that you probably wouldn't have if you were drunk. I saw a girl probably around the age of her early 20's having a seizure on the ground, apparently she had taken some drugs and they didn't agree with her body. This really woke me up and gave me a life lesson that my parents had told me but I never took to heart. DON'T TAKE DRUGS!

Anyways, that in mind the last time I went it was even worse than the previous two because of the one thing that i swore I wouldn't do, not to take drugs... My friends were all excited and super jittery when I arrived at the venue and they had so much to say I could barely make out what they were trying to say! But in short they took drugs and offered me some, I had no second thoughts I thought I would be cool too so I took it... Within 30-45 minutes of taking the dose I started to freak out things where spinning and going in slow motion I didn't know what to expect until it happened. It felt as if everyone knew I had taken something and they were all starring me down like I was guilty. I ignored it for a little while continued jumping around and started sweating profusely, at this point I had enough and I wanted to leave but I couldn't find the exit! For some reason it felt like I was trapped inside the venue and I couldn't reach the exit, I looked for medical staff and eventually found them. I told them exactly what happened and they were probably not surprised but I was disappointed in myself. I was told I had to go to the hospital because I was in fatal danger. (overheating) During my wait in the hospital I experienced some more strange events I felt like people were laughing at me, taking pictures, doors where opening and closing and the worst part it felt like people were afraid to be around me. My dad had to come get me and let me tell you the car ride wasn't very friendly. I am still struggling to cope with this and have really learned my lesson the hard way.
